Today I am heading back from N Ireland to my new home in Cornwall. I feel my feet are spread across multiple camps. As I boarded my plane to Exeter, Samson & Goliath, the huge cranes of Belfast’s historic shipyard, dominated the skyline, as I boarded my plane to Exeter, I can’t help wondering how many more times I’ll make this journey to visit my increasingly frail, nearly 90 year old Mum.
We’ll fly over N Wales and I may even get a sneaky glimpse of Cheshire as we head south. I’m feeling a pang of nostalgia for our old stomping grounds of Delamere Forest, the Sandstone Trail at Bulkeley Hill and the fields around Tarvin – all still beckoning the county’s dog walkers!
But then Clive sent me a photo of Sennen that was shared this morning, courtesy of http://www.eyeonhigh.co.uk.
How could this not lift my spirits?!! And how lucky are we to have this beautiful part of the world as part of our family’s lives?!
The build starts this week.
Foundations for our future will be laid in concrete.
We’ll finally get to see what lies in the ground underneath our new house. (If the ground survey is accurate, there’ll be water, for sure!!).
And, most importantly, we’ll get to meet the team that will make it all a reality for us.
Oh, and it is a “she”. And she has a name …. “Delamere”
